Release v0.2.0


The second release of Roll the Hard Six is here and there is a lot of quality of life stuff in this update. Originally I had planned on adding more skills. I decided to change my roadmap though after seeing Nick Breckon playing the game on Twitch. It was so illuminating to have a recording of someone playing the game. Some issues are easy to ignore developing the game, but it becomes much more obvious how glaring they are once you see someone else struggle with them.

Changes

  • Added highlight when hovering over actionable tiles
  • Changed status effects UI to show which fruit does which effect after first use
  • Small tweaks to skill progression, enemy spawns, and player heath to decrease difficulty
  • Improve UI for skill buttons with better text
  • Add more instruction to Welcome Screen
  • Added unit segments to enemy health bars
  • Fix for Welcome Screen not always appearing
  • Fix for various game menu items disappearing while vision impaired
